House and Garden cover June 2020

A couple of years ago a colleague asked me what my medium term goal was for the business. Without a second thought the goal was an international project in the Alps. I love the mountains. I’ve been skiing since I was six and have spent countless weeks in the Alps. I did a ski season, many moons ago, as a ski guide in the chic resort Beaver Creek, in Colorado.

My Happy Place

House and Garden the List

Not one but two Chalet Projects!

Last year I was privileged to be asked by a previous client to help redesign and decorate a ski chalet in the French Alps. I’ve worked closely with the client to create a comfortable, colourful scheme which balances classic and contemporary chalet style. The project is in full swing and will complete at the end of this year.

A second contrasting mountain project has also come about – a contemporary apartment in the Swiss Alps. It’s been a whirlwind – a short completion time of four months – which is almost unheard of in this industry because anything bespoke commands a long leadtime. Not to mention the rigmarole of shipping and customs in our post Brexit world.

Swiss Efficiency

This project has been a joy. Contemporary, colourful, sophisticated, and as always with the Swiss exceptionally efficient.  I’m so looking forward to sharing with you images of the two contrasting projects.

And I’m wondering if my next ‘medium term plan’ is about to come to fruition. Watch this space !
