We are delighted to unveil a recent project, a two-year refurbishment of a contemporary penthouse, overlooking Tower Bridge in the City of London.
The brief was to create a striking pied a terre for a busy City professional, a calming retreat as a reflection of minimalist living. The extraordinary panoramic views, from floor to ceiling glass windows on every aspect were integral to the design, framing the City skyline to the West and sweeping river views with the Tower of London and Tower Bridge to the North.
Collaborating with the client to determine the style of the project we chose to incorporate industrial elements to celebrate the historic location, within a contemporary interior scheme to complement the apartment’s modern architecture.
We chose a colour palette to reflect the client’s brave, stylish taste and to sit within the urban cityscape; using burnt oranges, with blue and black tones to reflect the industrial heritage of the former docklands. This strong palette was contrasted with luxurious textures, such as velvets, wools and boucles to give a soft textural feel, whilst the intricate detailed patterns reflected the complexity of the views.
